Memberships and Programs

We have a variety of programs and membership options from which to choose. Prices listed do not include the mandatory Rowing Canada and Row Ontario fees ($76.48 in 2026). All fees must be paid before rowers can start any participation on the water.Sign off sheet must be completed as well.

Annual Membership is required for participants and includes the ability to attend and vote at the AGM (age 18+) and attend social functions.  The purchase of the Annual membership contributes to overhead expenses and is required to participate in programs offered by the club lasting the duration of the rowing season. The fee is $150 plus Rowing Canada and RowOntario fees totaling $76.48.

Description The fee for this program includes a GBRC Annual Membership.  This program is designed for those who train remotely / away from the boathouse in private equipment, and allows the participant to compete at regattas as a GBRC member.  Usage of Club equipment available for an additional fee.  RCA/RowOntario fees of $76.48 will be included with this registration.

Adaptive Rowing Program

This program is offered to people with intellectual disabilities through a partnership with Community Living Huronia to allow them to experience the fun of rowing. Please enquire about registration for this program through CLH or GBRC directly.

Adult Learn-To-Row

For anyone interested in learning to row, this program is typically offered over the course of three weeks. This program is scheduled based on interest and coach availability. Sessions will start in July. May upgrade to a full membership at the conclusion of the sessions. . Includes supervised use of club equipment as part of LTR lessons.

Youth Learn-To-Row

Ages 12-18, or full time post secondary students are welcome. Sessions will start in July. Youth who complete the program can upgrade to a full membership. Includes supervised use of club equipment as part of LTR lessons.

Visitor Pass – $25

$25 per visit (visitors, guests). All visitors must be accompanied on the water by a GBRC adult member. If RCA/RowOn fees have not already been paid at another club, these fees must be paid. Please email GBRC if you wish to arrange a visit.

Description This fee for this program includes a GBRC Annual Membership.  Selection of Unlimited Access Programming gets you daily usage of equipment with support from the boathouse manager out of the Little Lake boathouse from Docks-In (Mid-April) through Docks-Out (October), equipment usage at regattas and off-site locations where the club participates. RCA/RowOntario fees of $76.48 will be included with this registration.

Boat Storage – $75-$150

Storage at our Midland Boathouse can be arranged for privately owned rowing shells. The cost is $75 for annual members and $150 for non-members per year (April 1 – March 31), and is necessary to cover our growing insurance expenses. Please contact the club if you have questions about private boat storage.

GBRC North Competitive Program
