We have a variety of programs and membership options from which to choose. Prices listed do not include the mandatory Rowing Canada and Row Ontario fees (2025 fees yet to be announced). All fees must be paid before rowers can start any participation on the water.
Adult Annual Membership – $435
Experienced adult rowers can begin rowing after the seasonal club opening in late April until the club closure in mid-October. Includes the ability to compete for GBRC, full use of club equipment, and participation in coaching events. Qualifies for reduced rate for private boat storage.
Student Annual Membership – $150
Under 18 or full time post-secondary students who are experienced can begin rowing after the seasonal club opening in late April until the club closure in mid-October. Includes the ability to compete for GBRC, full use of club equipment, and participation in coaching events.
Adaptive Rowing Program
This program is offered to people with intellectual disabilities through a partnership with Community Living Huronia to allow them to experience the fun of rowing. Please enquire about registration for this program through CLH or GBRC directly.
Adult Learn-To-Row – $250
For anyone interested in learning to row, this program is typically offered twice a week, over 3 weeks. This program is scheduled based on interest and coach availability. Dates for the 2025 learn to row sessions will be coming soon. May upgrade to a full membership at the conclusion of the sessions by paying an additional $185. Includes supervised use of club equipment as part of LTR lessions.
Youth Learn-To-Row – $125
Ages 12-18, or full time post secondary students are welcome. Dates for the youth learn to row sessions will be coming soon, but will likely start in May 2025. Youth who complete the program can upgrade to a full membership for an additional $25. Includes supervised use of club equipment as part of LTR lessons.
Visitor Pass – $25 per row (max $125/season)
$25 per visit/max of 5 visits (visitors, guests). All visitors must be accompanied on the water by an Adult Annual Member. If RCA/RowOn fees have not already been paid at another club, these fees must be paid at the first visit. Please email GBRC if you wish to arrange a visit.
Limited Use – $175
For adults who would like use of club equipment, and anticipate >5 but <10 visits over the course of the season. Does NOT permit competing for GBRC (other than at the Muskoka Fall Classic), this membership is strictly for recreational use. Does not qualify for reduced rate of private boat storage
Boat Storage – $75-$150
Storage at our Midland Boathouse can be arranged for privately owned rowing shells. The cost is $75 for annual members and $150 for non-members per year (April 1 – March 31), and is necessary to cover our growing insurance expenses. Please contact the club if you have questions about private boat storage.
GBRC North Competitive Program – $300
Participation in the GBRC North competitive program. This program is not open to the general public. If you wish to learn more about this program, please contact the club for more information. Participants in this program may upgrade to a full adult annual membership by paying the difference in fees.
