GBRC crews continued to enjoy success at all the regattas this summer. The Lightweight Double crew of Diane Barr and Chris Huet were dominant, winning all of their races this season, including the US Nationals Masters Championship. The duo of Rob Haag and Harry VanderLugt also posted fast times in their races.
The new Adaptive Rowing Program for adults with intellectual disabilities launched in July with several new members. Eric and Vern are enjoying learning how to row, with one on one support. Thanks to everyone who is volunteering their time to help support this program and our new members.
Our recreational program continues with solid participation from a core group of rowers. Tuesday & Thursday evenings, and Saturday & Sunday mornings will usually find several crews out on Little Lake working on their skills, improving their fitness, and enjoying the wildlife (herons, turtles, swans, frogs, geese, bass, and the occasional falcon call Little Lake home).
